My name is Caterina, and with my husband, Massimo we are the owner of A NEW GNOME FAMILY DAYCARE. We have an 11-year-old son, Giulio, who means the world to us, the same as your child is to you.
We moved from Italy when he was little so he has the opportunity to grow up in San Diego.
We were so lucky to witness his development in a new country and how naturally he became bilingual while learning from a culture different than ours.
Our goal is to share with the children some traditions from Italy and other countries in order to create an international context that can increase children's cawareness, appreciation, and inclusion of diverse beliefs and cultures.
Our
Story
At A NEW GNOME, we have created an environment where children can learn Italian while playing. At A NEW GNOME, the goal is to provide a caring and safe environment for your child, and we can assure you that he/she will have the personal support and attention that is necessary to build trust and confidence.
Your child will be surrounded by love, serenity, and happiness.Daily play-based activities inspired by Reggio Emilia’s and Montessori educational style, are carefully planned to range from outdoor and indoor moments that can involve our play structures to activities aimed at improving motor skills, and a cognitive social-emotional environment. During the day your child can draw, craft, paint, build with blocks, do yoga, read, listen to music, cooking, garden, and more.
